Help Identifying this block
I don't think we are allowed to post a picture from Pinterest so I will give the link. I wonder if it is in a book or a stand alone pattern? I have no problem purchasing the pattern but need to know the name. I followed the link through Pinterest but no luck finding the tutorial or pattern. I'm hoping someone here can decipher the block or lead me to where I can get instructions.

I clicked through to the origin, which was a flickr feed. I get the distinct impression that it's the creator's original block which she is playing around with and not a published pattern. You would probably make her day if you contacted her (via flickr) and let her know that you're interested in knowing more about it.

I don't have time to go thru them, but if you don't get the info from the photo, check the years listed to the right. It will show her blogs for that year. A tutorial was mentioned. It looks like it is called Fun Patch. Nice quilt. Looks like a variation of a half rectangle. http://2ndavenuestudio.blogspot.com/p/2012-quilts.html

It is not difficult to draw. You have to be perfect with lining up the tow pieces when sewing the seam. Just draw a 45 degree line thru a rectangle making sure both sides are the same exact size.

There used to be an acrylic template for the fun patch block---using it is by far the easiest way to cut the pieces. I don't know if the templates are still on the market or not. I have made one and it was a great scrappy pattern.
