    Default help with quilting

I have just completed this quilt for my nephew who is a freshman in high school. I used the school colors. The quilt is very graphic and I am at a loss as how to quilt it. Suggestions please.

Great modern top! I think I would straight line quilt going with the design in the white every 1/2 inch or so. SITD on the smaller bars and stitch 1/2 rows in the same colour in the thicker bars on the diagonal.

Excuse the wavy lines but how about something like this. Not in the ditch, but beside the ditch.

lines. look up modern quilting design images. many straight lines look great. or can do straight ones across every other row and vertical in others.

I agree with Tartan. Jackie Geuring has Craftsy classes with simple and very striking walking foot quilting techniques that looks fabulous on modern quilts. If it is not yet sandwiched, consider a high loft batting. The nonquilted areas within or around the SITD would puff a bit higher and create more dimension than a low loft batting would.

Oh, I sure like this pattern! I never used to like the modern look, but more and more I see interesting patterns that catch my eye. I am no help with a quilting pattern tho. I always have trouble deciding how to quilt something. Let us see it when you are finished. Am sure it will be beautiful!
