    Since the quilt is all squares I would quilt with something round in design, it sort of equals everything out

    Beautiful quilt! I would do diagonal lines accross the x's at least.

    I would do diagonal stitching in the dark blue squares and some type of motif in the large squares. That is a beautiful quilt. Great job.

    I always either do giant chevrons that meet in the middle, or do a grid for kid's quilts. I want to make sure they have lots of quilting so they will hold up to all the washing. I read somewhere that sometimes it is just the heavy quilting holding antique quilts together. I want mine to be like that.
