Default Help - what Tri-Recs ruler set do I want??

I am trying to get the Tri-Recs rulers to make a triangle in a square like the attachment.

I've used the Tri-Recs ruler set before to do these, but they were borrowed from a friend (who now lives 2,000 miles away). I'd like to get my own. Will this link on Amazon have both of the triangles that I need?? The picture is what I want, but the description says "Includes one 6 by 6-3/4 by 6-3/4 triangle with 1/4 seam allowance built in and one 6-1/2 by 3 by 6-inch rectangle with 1/4 seam allowance built in"

Yes, the tri-recs rulers always come in a set of two. You cut one large triangle for the center of the triangle-in-a-square and cut two of the smaller triangles for the outsides. Remember to always cut a left and right pair of small triangles. Also, if you want to make diamonds, cut your fabric into strips, then fold them in half lengthwise; place the bottom of the large triangle on the fold, and cut. You will then need four of the outside triangles to complete your rectangle-shaped diamond block. The diamonds in the outside border were made this way with the tri-recs rulers.

Ooh, diamonds, that's a great idea. And a beautiful quilt. At first I thought the page was loading slow

So even though the description says "rectangle", this should be the right set?

The set that I got is EZ Quilting designed by Darlene Zimmerman & Joy Hoffman. http://www.simplicity.com/c-938-quil...esize=99999999 You need to scroll down the page a bit.

Yeah, that's the set I want. What I'm trying to figure out is if what's listed on Amazon includes both of the triangle rulers since it references a rectangle.

Lucy, go back and read the ad, it says 2 piece. Should be what you want.

I got my from Quilt House called TRI TOOL by Darlene Zimmerman & Joy Hoffman. Yes, there should always be two pieces. Bought mine over 2 decades ago.

The one on Amazon is exactly like the one I have. You will have fun with it, but watch a video or two to make sure you are using it correctly. There are several good videos out there.
