I just inherited my grandmother's 1921 Red Eye treadle sewing machine. Some of the decals are really worn, and the whole machine has a layer of "age" on it. How did those of you who have done this do it? The before and after pics are amazing!

Go to the Virtual machine section. There is a detailed tutorial by lostn51. Many have used it with excellent results.

I just got mine put back together Monday night. I followed the tutorial that lostn51 has posted. It is great. Believe me it was a lot of hard work but very rewarding. you can see some before and after pics of mine under "I did it". Good luck and have fun, I did!

I've got a 1922 Redeye to get all polished up once the weather gets cooler so I can work outside.
