Wow after reading just the first page of this thread I felt so proud of the three year old unfinished work...lol
I actually pulled one of those last night and today I am working on it hoping it would be done by the weekend since it is a small wall hanging. Will post pix

I have one at least 10 years old, well the fabric is, ordered fabric and pattern, took me 5 years to even get to it, haven't touched it in 2, its hand pieced triple Irish chain, all I like is the borders, have thought about it, but have one put aside this year that I really want to finish but making purses at this time and have a wall quilt for gs for Christmas I was to do. Oh well, best intentions, lol

Probably from the early 1960's. I cut out a lot and started tops but 3 sons and later a daughter took up most of my time then.

Oh and I forgot my cathedral window...that turned into a pretty good size for a pillow...LOL cut all the squares and 2" squares for it..finally my mom took the squares and made me a quilt ..turned out nice...just not a cathedral window...so at least all the squares weren't wasted...

My oldest is 5 years old I think. It is still not ready to put the blocks together or quilt. My goal was to finish it this year. Due to some life things I won't make my goal. I did finish several UFO's this year. My goal for the year was to finish 2 UFO's before I started a new project. I did Ok with this.

I have a cross-stitched quilt I started somewhere around 1963. It was large pieces (not just blocks) of roses in three pinks. Always liked it -- still do. Plan on finishing it (I know where it is !!!), just have too many other UFO's I've been working on. May even try hand quilting it myself.

After reading these posts, I no longer have "the guilts" about not completing my first quilt after 7 years. Maybe it can wait a little longer.
