    How would you quilt this quilt. I am a newbie and have only done sid quitting before. Was thinking of doing "football/oval type shapes in the stars and not sure yet on the churndash however. What do you suggest?

    It's a gorgeous quilt with beautiful color placement. No quilting suggestions though.

    The easiest kind of quilting for a beginner is to do an allover quilting design such as meandering or stippling. Check out Leah Day's website for instructional videos.

    IMO it doesn't need a lot of decorative quilting. I would SID to enhance the shapes.
    You can do some outline quilting with the walking foot in certain areas to enhance the shapes.
    I would not make other suggestions if you have not done free motion quilting. Large shape ares do lend themselves to long curved walking foot quilting
