Another square in a square pattern(free) is Framed by Silk Road Life. Uses Layer Cakes. I made this using F.Q. I thought I would never use, the end result is this the quilt I will keep!! I used 21 Fat qtrs. and managed to get 3 blocks from 2 FQ. and had enough leftover for a scrappy binding. The finished quilt was 68x83in. I plan to use this pattern for a QOV quilt.

My favorite easy one is Warm Wishes. I think it looks much more complicated than it is. It's also good for highlighting beautiful fabric.

Check out Missouri Star Quilting Company (MSQC). She has so many that are simple to make but look complicated.

Missouri Star Quilt Co. has a YouTube video calledSquare in a square.It takes a matching jelly roll and a charm pack with a honey bun of background fabric. It’s all cut for you and very simple to make. It’s lovely!!

Warm Wishes has long been my go-to pattern. It can be made to fit any need (baby, sports, youth, adults, etc.) and looks much more complicated than it really is to make.

I'm working on the MSQ C "Illusion Quilt" for my granddaughter. I'm using a layer cake of blue/teal/green/purple batiks. It's quite simple and I'm loving it!
