Default I feel like a real quilter!

I did two big things yesterday that just make me feel all warm and fuzzy for quilting. I bought a whole roll of batting (woo woo coupons!) and since I bought a roll I made a design wall. And of course df is already trying to make it better than just batting taped to a wall. He wants styrofoam board so I can prop it somewhere to look at it better. I love how supportive he is of my ridiculously expensive hobby.

My wall at work. I probably should work on my scissor skills. Lol. I can't cut straight to save my life or maybe not rushed and used my mat and rotary cutter. Lol

Congratulations! My 'design wall' is a bed sheet hanging from the back of a door. LOL. I want to use batting attached to the wall someday so I don't have to pin each and every block during the layout portion of my quilting.

A whole roll of batting! You ARE a quilter! I recently felt just this way when I bought my first full bolt of fabric. Yay for you!

I love my design wall. I made mine out of felt since it was cheaper than batting. I am so glad I have it! Love that your hubby wants to upgrade your wall already. It took mine a long time to convince him that it was really a good thing.

I used the 1" thick insulation board that can be found at Home Depot. I covered them with flannel and used safety pins and twine to keep it snug onto the insulation. I had three of them before my move. Now I have ONLY ONE because for some unknown reason, two were put into storage. I have had to temporarily hang a peace of batting taped to the huge closet door. You will find that the insulation is great because you can use straight pins! I can't wait until my other 2 design walls finally get moved into my new apt.
