Default ISO placemat pattern - feature fabric friendly

Hello - I'm looking for a pattern for placemats that allows a feature fabric to show off, without just putting a border around said fabric... free pattern, or picture of one that I can draft myself would be awesome. I have lots of feature fabrics that I'd like to make into placemats to show them off.
    TYIA!

I guess I am confused. You said you wanted feature fabric placemats. Are you saying you want placemat patterns that are blocks with larger centers or rectangles to make placemats? There are lots of ideas out there for all kind of placemats and table runners. Mr. Google is always my best friend.

These aren't free, but I like the looks of them. I found them from a duckduckgo image search.

OH, I really like the one from quiltwoman. The border would be so 4easy to create but has an elegant look. I might use that one with some of my focal fabrics, when I find them.
Thank you for posting the link.

That is an awesome one, and somewhat like what I was looking for! A little distinctive yet the feature fabric can shine!

I'm looking for something with a bit of style, not overly simple, but allowing the feature fabric to stand out. I really like the one idea someone posted after your reply, so I may go with that. Thank you for your interest and help!

Awesome links to patterns that are just the sort of thing I was looking for. I have seen the last one made up in real life, (family that quilts). I just forgot about it! The others are all great ideas too. THANK YOU !
