    I did that a few months ago and to add to the misery my father in law dumped rubbing alcohol on my finger !!! I never said such words in my life. I hope you do not need stitches. Mine took 3 weeks to heal and I finally got feeling back. Who knew quilting was so dangerous.

    Sliced my finger a few years back and was told the same thing about the tetanus shot. I was told mine was a flap cut so I I didn't want stitches if I promised to keep it securley bandaged and dry I could go without them. I did no regrets and very slight scar.
