    Default Log Cabin Block???

Would it look ok to use all the same color for the light part of the log cabin block and use 3 different colors for the dark part,

I'm trying to use what fabric I have for this quilt and can't find 3 different light fabric in the fabric I have that go together..

What are your thought on this ... Thanks

Like this? But I think there are more than 3 colors in the dark.

That's how I make my log cabins. Light side one color (cream, off-white, white-on-white) and the dark side scrappy.

There really are no rules for scrappy log cabin blocks.

That will look great. I've seen lots of quilts made like that. Go for it, and show us what you come up with. Log cabin quilts are my favorite.

I have done that, used just muslin for the light part. Looked great. I did go scrappy on the dark side though. But I'm sure yours will look good.
