for a theme, how about the hibiscus flower.
Do various designs with the flower. Appliqued
for a pillow, pincushion ect. folded like the 2 color quilts.

Pineapples, the design and desserts or pot luck using pineapples.
cut the tops off and root them in dirt for plants. Even drinks with pineapples.
You can find a lot of ideas at the party store with pineapples, since a lot
of people do the Aloha theme.Pineapple upside down cake, ham with pineapple
the list is endless. Fruit bottom girls.

Hibiscus Honeys Go Hawaiian Serve Hawaiian pork, Kona coffee, pineapples and, I would say "poi" but it tastes like library paste. Everyone wears hawaiian shirts and muu-muus and flowers in their hair. No surfing allowed.

By looking at Hawaiian words --------- Hono means to stitch together and Kapa means cloth
So you could call it the Hono-Kapa retreat

We had a Hawaiian themed party a few years ago, and, the main character or logo was centered around a tropical colored/festive totem.

Please let us know what you decide on.
