Do you know why you're suppposed to use the Martelli mat with the blades? Mine seems to be doing fine with my Olfa mat.

I'm loving my cutter, but will have to re-watch the YouTube video on cleaning. Still, it is so much less stressful on my hands and shoulders than my Olfa cutter!

I'm using mine on a Quilters Select Mat and it works beautifully.

The honeymoon with mine didn't last very long. I have a real hard time cutting straight with it. I noticed the rulers they use with it are like the stripology with a slot the cutter fits into, so that would for sure take care of my "wandering" problem.

I may not be holding it quite right, and putting a bit too much pressure to one side instead of directly over the blade. I had a lot of strips to cut with my last project and finally put this one aside and went back to my regular cutter to finish up. I'm not giving up on it yet, and I think I'll love it when I am using my stripology ruler.

Macybaby, did you watch the YouTube videos? They have several, and they were very helpful to me. Lots of people apparently have trouble adjusting to the hold.
