I was doing some sewing for my DD's little one (due August) and thought about the long tradition of sewing that I learned from my mom. Her nickname was Tootsie. After all these years, and all the machines I've used, any one I use now will be called Toots. RIP, Tootsie, 1920-1985

My Bernina 430E is named "Isla Rose". Isla because I love that name and Rose is after my DMIL that passed away a few years ago.

How about Desi for your Designer 1?

My new old featherweight is named Ilah. It was my mother-in-law's machine. Ilah was her name. It is great to have something by which to remember her. (as if I needed something!) :-D

My little blue Kenmore is Betty. My seam ripper is Seam Demon. I even wrote that on the handle!
