    I call my old Singer my Beauty. My others are not named. Maybe I should. This is an interesting thread. I noticed that those of you that have people names have female machines. I have a spinning wheel I call Angus. Any male machines out there?

    I just got a Juki 2010 and Pinnacle Frame, her name is Ms. Fondue! My best friend (a quilter also) and I put our heads together on this one. We know her stitches are going to be a smooth as fondue chocolate!

    My FW is Hector. My other machines have unique names, Janome, Brother, etc. I'm not as fond of them as I am my little Hector.

    Oh yes, my sewing machine is named "Amanda". I have four girls all the names start with "A". They are so jealous of their youngest sister Amanda!!

    I have never thought of naming my machines but my husband has always named his trucks. 1976 truck was Sally, daughter and son in law has it now and it is still called Sally and still running good.

    Wonderful family friend Carl gave me a featherweight 30 years ago. He has since passed away. I named the little machine Carla. Incidentaly this board made me realize what I had.

    My new Ellisimo is coming home tomorrow. It will be named Ells in honor of my favorite Red Sox player: Jacoby Ellsbury.

    {I haven't told DH or DS yet. DH will smirk. DS will froth at the mouth. He can't understand my favoring of this player.}

    My first machine (with a motor) is a Viking named Lena. I have my great grandmother's treadle, which I named Victoria after her. My Viking Quilt Designer II is Slacker (because of her occasional habit of dropping stitches). My Pfaff QE 4.0 is Sweetness. And my new Featherweight is named Anne -- I am of French-Canadian descent, and Anne is the patron of Quebec, as well as the patron saint of seamstresses (it made sense to me at the time).

    Bernina 830 (not the new one, this machine is over 35 years old) is named Bernie. I know not very original. The Pfaff is Jean Luc, after Star Trek's bald guy. My car is named Enterprise. My previous car was called Margaret. Hay, my seam ripper is called Jack too.
