Yes, they sell tools and carpet cutting blades which fit perfectly in the 45mm rotary cutters. I have been using them in my Olfas for a couple of years now. I have a Gingher rotary cutter but I haven't used one in it yet. I have found several blades that are not perfect, but for the price I will toss it a put in another one. I figure for the price I will do that and not shed a tear.

I have the non electric sharpener. I like it. I use a 60mm rotary cutter so I can't get my blades at Harbor Freight. The sharpener is easy to use and makes my blades last much longer. It does not return them to new if you let them get dull but it will help to keep them sharp if used regularly.

the only drawback to this gadget is the noise it makes.

i recommend you wear earplugs.

i also use 60mm blades, so i know it will save me money. :-)

Thanks for all your input and it appears the investment might not be worth the cost. I use different size cutters depending on what I'm doing so don't need to change blades frequently unless I nick it. I do flip the blade over and get some extra mileage too.

Plus, I found a Harbor Freight in my area so am going to try their blades.

Just FYI- the long manual blade sharpener works with any size. I use it with my 60mm and my friend uses it with 45mm. The 60mm blades are so expensive and this has helped extend their use.

I have not been able to adapt to a 45mm but just might have to so I can use those Harbor Freight blades.

Probably not safe but I was reminded of cast-off cd's and all the things that were created with them...same shape and shiny..
These are too sharp even when used to play with.
