    Default New Year's Resolution..........

My friend and I often sew together, and have decided for 2012 that we would each turn out 12 regular sized quilts before the end of the year. We also may add anything else that we please, ie....table runners, placemats, wall hangings, etc. We both have jobs outside the home, so this will be a major accomplishment if we can carry through.
What are your plans for the year?

That's a lofty goal - good luck with that! I work outside the home too, and I'm doing well if I can get 5-6 done. Every year I say I'm going to try harder, but no matter that, always about the same. Of course a bit more gets done if I work on smaller things. I don't want to make it a chore instead of a pleasure. A quilt a month is pretty fast, but if you can make the time, I think it's wonderful.

I really want to make my two little grands each a Christmas/winter themed quilt for their beds by Thanksgiving 2012. Plus I have a Christmas themed Quilt as you go project to finish for my couch by Dec 1, 2012. While these don't seem like huge goals for many of you, for me it will be a miracle. Anyone want to cheer me on?

I would like to make at least 12 Quilts and also do a few harder quilts. I started a drunkards path...thought I was done the top but it is only 54 x 54 so I am going to add 2 more rows. I also have two UFO's that I need to complete.

I have 6 quilt projects already identified for 2012 - all Christmas gifts. One has a large applique block ... I've never done applique before so it should be fun. I love learning something new!

I would like to try this as well, and if I finish UFOs, I just might accomplish this.

You can do it...I turned out 63 quilts last year, all the way from king sized to crib size...it's probably a little easier for me as I have a long arm to quilt on...but it IS possible! Good luck!

My new years resolutions are many. I stopped smoking, work out every day, sew every day, and just try to be healthier.
