I love the triple Irish Chain. It is - bascially - a four patch that is that actually 25 pieces. And then a big blocks edged with smaller blocks. REALLY EASY. This is one time that strip piecing is definetly your friend.

The Warm Wishes is quick and easy especially with strip piecing. It is also a great way to show off a pretty floral or an animal print.
I love doing stack and whacks. They are easier than they look and I have so much fun doing them. I have most of Bethany Reynolds books. I consider them a great investment for the sheer fun I get making the quilts.

Quiltville's Pineapple Blossom is a good one. Our quilt class did it as a Mystery Quilt a couple of years ago. Everyone loved it !

The ones I tried- bargello, folded dahlia, spicy spiral...Now one that I have not conquered and I have tried three times = lone star and Y seams.

Single Irish chain is so impressive to non quilters and of course is just a solid block and a nine patch. It is so beautiful with it's diagonal lines of small blocks

I have a book that's called 9 patch pizzaz and she sometimes calls it a potato chip quilt, because you can't make just one.

What's amazing is that what seems hard to you now will seem easy after you get more practice. Keep on stretching your boundaries and don't make the same quilt over and over. You're smart to want something new to do that lets you practice the 1/4" seam.

I agree with others who have suggested French Braid. It gives tremendous bang for the buck and really makes you think about fabric selection. OBW is another easy-to-make quilt that gets a lot of attention.

Peckish, that is one gorgeous quilt! Found the tutorial on your blog, which is full of good stuff, I might add!

Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks. It looks very complicated, but if you can figure out how to use the ruler then it goes together very easily. Thanks to Sharon's patience.
