Default Pfaff 7570 foot pedal problem...

I've had the problem before and ordered a new foot peddle and it seemed to stop the problem for awhile but kind of an expensive way to fix the problem!
    1. It sees for awhile or just a few stitches and stops
    2. Sometimes if I sort of pump the pedal I seem to hit the Magic spot
    3. Where the pedal plugs into the machine seems too loose...I've tried holding it it either by hand or taping in place.

it doesn't seem to be any one thing I can say for sure is the problem. Has anyone else ran into this...it's such a workhorse of a machine and hate to give it up.

Have you taken it to the repairman? Was it his suggestion to order a new foot pedal? I think it should go,to repair again.

    Default Tried that...

By one fellow couldn't find anything wrong and the other said it might need a new motherboard to the tune of $500...maybe I would just want to get a new machine. Got the new foot and it has worked fine for a couple of years and now it's acting up again.

I can see why you don't want to give up your machine. I have a 7510, and I love it! I hope you find a good solution!

Can you open pedal and clean it? I had this with my old Janome and there was a load of lint inside the pedal, once cleaned it worked like a dream x

No do not open the foot peddle. I ruined mine doing that. It’s electronic and there isn’t anything to adjust or fix. My problem turns out to be where it plugs to the machine. I have a Pfaff 7550. My repairman, an independent service person, did something to the plugin to make it work. But I still have problems. If the cord of the plug isn’t running towards the back of the machine it might run or might not. I hope this might help you. I need to check and see if the plugin can be replaced.

I’m doubtful the pedal could be bad twice. To me it appears the connection is bad but I’m just speculating.
