    Default Phoenix-area quilt shops??

DH and I just decided to spend Christmas week in Phoenix (yippee yippee!!!) and my first thought -- other than "hey it won't be cold there" -- was "where are the quilt shops?"

We are staying in Scottsdale, but venturing as far as Tucson to see friends. Can anyone recommend can't-miss quilt shops? Many thanks for any and all suggestions.

If you go to Tucson, there is Bella Quiltworks, the Cactus Quilt Shop, and The Quilters Market - they're all great! And in Phoenix there's 3 Dudes Quilting - never been there but I hope to someday!

Quiltz up on the north end on Thunderbird Rd. always has a colour of the month discount of 20 or 30% and it's a nice shop and 35 ave sew and vac I heard was amazing. Mulqueens in Mesa is good too. Happy shopping!

Are you ever in for a treat. 35th Ave Sew & Vac has the largest collection of quilting fabric in the state! We have plenty of quilt shops here. If you contact the 3 Dudes Quilting store here in Phoenix they will send you a list of independent quilt shops in the Phoenix area.

Otherwise you can PM me and I will scan in the information.

Quiltz is not longer on Thunderbird. They moved to about 48 St. and E. Bell Rd. Still great shop.

Thanks for the question regarding quilt shops in Phoenix, we will be in Surprise for six weeks starting March 1. That is not far from there.

It's a great shop - customer service is outstanding. Those guys have a really good eye for color and are extremely nice.

It is at 3851 E. Thunderbird Rd. It is a much smaller store than previously. We were just there. Though I just did a net search for it and found only the old address.

I think we have over 13 quilt stores here in the valley. I used to do marketing with all the LQSs. Even though I don't do that anymore I still try to keep up to date.
