Default Pincushions? You have lots like your pin collection?

Yesterday I found out many of us have a wonderful/useful collection of pins. Where do you keep them? on the floor, plastic containers, little wheels they came in?
Personally I have two works of art PC I was gifted, magnetic tray, weighted red hat society (my fav cus it doesn't move), one I just bought on line that looks like a spool of pink thread and is magnetic, and some I have made: donut, voo doo doll, chicken, small one I can wear on my thumb.
    What do you have?

I have the enamel one with the kittens I mentioned in a previous thread. Also a Zirkel and a wool and about a million others lol
I tried to make them once but never liked them as much as the ones I bought. I also have a couple that you put on your finger that I got in Paducah.

Yes, I have several unusual & also the usual pin cushions.
Have pattern for one that looks like a purse but not made it yet.
Have bought the triangular chicken ones for gifts and never kept one for myself

I have 2 plain magnetic disc type of pin cushions, Even though they are not really cushions, and one traditional tomato pin cushions. I also have 2 of the hanging kind with a small basket on them that I can toss threads and other small waste from my immediate sewing. They line both sides of my sewing machine.
I thought and am still thinking about getting into the pincushion swap here but have a full plate right now sot that has to wait.

My grands learned to make these as their first sewing projects. I have a lot! I keep batting and fabric cut into HSTs for them to sew. They make all sizes. We put rice in the bottom point to keep it upright and not rolling over. Tip: They use a big safety pin to bring the top part together. Easier for little hands then needle and thread.

Yes, have a very small version of this for my thumb and then made larger ones as gifts at a retreat. Cute aren't they.

I do have a small collection of decorative pincushions that sit on the window sill in front of my machine. I have a few decorative pins in them. It is just a fun little thing that I like to look at. Most I have made for fun and a couple picked up at quilt shows. My "working pins" are in small plastic boxes or a magnet holder.

I have several pin cushions...I like to take a quick break with a fun project in between major quilt projects so I often make a pin cushion... And, each one is different from the others. Most I made but some were gifts...Some of them hold decorative pins or some of my favorite working pins....others are in the original boxes. I love all the cutesy stuff that quilting can bring,..

I have one everyday pin cushion. My specialty pins are kept in their cases.
