Hi I'm Pam and new to this board. I'm looking at getting my first long arm machine and was wondering if you all might be able to help. I have looked at a number of machines and ran across a demo Viking Platinum 3000 at a really good price.. I have heard they are no longer made but wanted to find out what others think about it? Thanks

I have the Pfaff P3 which is the "sister" machine I think. It also is "related" to the Tin Lizzie .
It works well and I really like it.

I know absolutely nothing about this machine, but know from owning a LA that you do need to be able to obtain parts and service. If this is no longer made any more, that is something that you need to track down before you purchase. Is there a tech in your area (and remember by that with a LA it could mean a tech withing 150mi or more). In my area there is a tech that has trained to work on several different brands and could be contacted for about any LA--ask around and see if you have someone like that available. I'd also suggest you contact the Viking dealers and ask them to check on availability of parts. Good luck--I long LA!

Thank you for the response. I have not been able to find any reviews online or info. I guess I will pass on this one and may look at a Juki.
