I love the gold center. It's very pretty.

I like the gold best, but as others have said, audition it altgether before you decide. the sashing, borders, binding will change the look.

Well am going to try this again. The computer does not seem to want to up load my post and pics. Here is the other route that I have gone. I decided that there were too many colors and prints in the original plate. I do believe I like this one better. Will not let me post a pic.

The middle on this one is the color of the sashing, backing and binding so far. The background is actually not this white.

I haven't even decided on the color of the sashing yet.
I haven't read all the posts yet, but have you tried a yellow with it? I'm not sure I like any of them, possibly the first one. Maybe a solid red rather than the busy read would look goo. I think any solid color whatever you choose would work better, as the plate strips are all busy. Just a thought! I read some of the posts and your other pictures. I like the gold best!

I like them all. I am working on a Dresden Plate King Sized quilt right now. While on vacation, I used my Quilt Shop Locator for my IPhone and found the most delightful shop out from Elizabethtown, KY. Mary, the owner of Unique Quilts, was a doll and just kept pulling bolts from her shelves to help me find the perfect circle. She really taught me how to "Keep Looking" until the perfect one showed up! That's my suggestion (but I like the last one)! They are all beautiful and I must admit that I am a little bit jealous that you are almost finished with yours. Great job!
