Our super walmart started carrying yarn and notions. I don't know what it means yet, but maybe fabric will follow? our regular walmart carries everything and the girl who cut my fabric said they don't know of any plans to discontinue the fabric. Time will tell.

Walked into the walmart on craig ave in Nv only to found out no more fabric...very disappointed. I usually go to Quiltique or Nancys Quilts shop but liked walmart for cheaper projects.

Russellville, AR has some fabrics - not a lot tho.
Clarksville, AR recently took theirs out - replaced plastic boxes in the area where fabrics were. Everybody needs a better dept of plastic boxes to choose from. LOL Wal-Mart is not nice at all. This store is not even being remodeled. Fabric just disappeared.

Went to WM today. They are getting rid of all fabrics. They are at 50% off now. Bought 6 yards each of 4 colors of their extra weight flannels ($1.25/yd) and cleaned out their Pellon #805 - wonderunder. I don't applique but have been looking at several patterns that I would like to do. I'd love to buy them out of all their other pellon's but just cant' afford to do it nor do I have the space to store it all. Bought a few yards of the Pellon WashAway also. My embroidery machine is sure going to get a good work out. LOL

The worst part/best part of this is that they aren't advertising the markdowns so those that know about it are at an advantage. When I was wandering about the department I mentioned it to a gal waiting at the cutting table and her eyes popped. She stepped back, started walking around some more and all of a sudden her cart started to fill up. It was funny.

I believe that the Walmart on South Semoran still has a fabric dept. Sorry to hear about E. Colonial.
