Hi - This is the first message I've left although I've been reading and watching the message board for the past several weeks. I have attended two retreats this year - one in Cor 'd Alene, Idaho and one in Cedar Pines Park, CA. I'll keep an eye out for information if you can get the one going in Montana. Unfortunately, the one in WV is a little too far for me as well.

OK, looks like I had better do a bit of research for a retreat in Montana. A couple of questions for all of you. Would you bring spouses and make a vacation out of it, or would you just want the retreat. That would make a difference on where & when.

I go to an annual retreat with members of another online quilt group. We meet once a year at a hotel with a large banquet/meeting room. We either fly or drive. There are attendees from New England to California. The hotel we use serves breakfast every day and a "snack" every evening. The "snack" is actually enough to constitute a meal - spaghetti/hamburgers, etc. We also get a cut on the room rate because we're a large group (about 30).

The retreat usually lasts from Friday thru Sunday. A lot of us arrive on Thursday evening and depart Sunday afternoon. The meeting room is open 24 hours so we can sew all night if we want to.
