    Default quilting app

I'm not sure if such a thing exists, but does anyone know of a quilting app where you could take a picture of your quilt, and then overlay different quilt designs on top of it to see how each would look? Thanks in advance.

I think you couldl do that on EQ7. But now they have come out with EQ8. I barely ......Not ......know how to use EQ7. I think what you want to do is change the fabric??? right??

There is an app I've used on my iPad called You Doodle you can import your photo then use a stylus to draw on it and plan your quilting that way. It's free.

I'm interested in this as well. I don't know if I should buy EQ7 (or EQ8) - I already use the computer too much to procrastinate.

I think I stopped at EQ 5; what i want to do is be able to test out different quilt stitch designs on my pieced top. Maybe that explains it better. Thanks for the suggestion!

I send the quilt photo to my computer then open the picture in Windows Paint and draw using a mouse it would be an alternative if you didn't have the option of a stylus.

They make a clear plastic roll for quilters that you use dry erase markers to test quilt designs. I am sorry i do not remember the name. It is nice because you can doodle several designs and go back and pick your favorite!

I didn't know they made a roll! My hubby got me a large flexible piece that I can lay over the quilt on my table and use a dry erase marker!
It helps when I don't have a clue what I should do! He got it at a hardware store.. I have also used tracing paper!
I have EQ-7 haven't used it in years..
Haven't paid for all the updates either!
