Default In search of a zippered eReader case - like the Vera Bradley one.

Have any of you come across either a free or paid pattern for a zippered case like the Vera Bradley quilted one shown here. I've googled, yahoo'd and binged looking for patterns, but none seem to have a zipper that zips around 2 sides and a bit of a third side. I want to make some for my daughters out of my own quilted fabric, and have it lined so the zipper doesn't show...

Or maybe you have seen a pattern for the larger ipad case made the same way... I would be able to scale down the size...

Would appreciate any links or leads if you run across one...

Google "zippered pouch tutorial" and it will come up with a couple different sites.

I just plain 'ol measured my Nook, made a muslin pattern for just in case, then made my case. I have used prequilted fabric as well as coordination fabrics and then doing my own quilting for aesthetics. I put whatever embellisments on them I want.

I don't think it is because I am soooo thrifty. I think it is because I can.

I'd try and make my own pattern, and lay a tape measure around your e-reader for the length of zipper you desire. I need to make one for my Nookcolor.......come on January !

You do not have to put zipper in pouch. Just put a tab on one side of top and snap or button on other to use for closure. Also you can make long rectangular piece and just quilt thru batting and top fabric and then sew sides together, sew lining to top and put lining inside bag. Or you can sew lining to bag rectangular on one side of top and quilt thru all layers including lining and then sew side. This way will leave raw edges inside unless you use a serger to sew sides. Good luck!!!
