I would ban shoes if I could. However, getting old seems like I need the shoes just to keep from feet from hurting so have learned to sew with shoes on.

I am absolutely a barefoot sewer. I take my shoes off before my coat when I get home. I even sew barefoot at classes. I do find the occasional pin the hard way but it worth it. I hate shoes.

Went we were kids it used to drive my grandma nuts that we were all running around the house barefoot in the winter. She was always knitting us slippers that we never wore unless we knew she was coming over. I am barefoot year round. No socks or shoes.

I am a shoeless quilter. I don't usually have shoes on in my house. I just should live somewhere I could go without shoes all the time.

Since I never wear shoes in the house....I'm part of the barefoot group. I do occasionally wear flipflops to sew in when I'm having a rare day when my foot is slipping off the pedal for some reason...

As soon as I read the title of the post, I knew exacttly what it was about. And yes, I too sew with one shoe off! Glad to know I am not alone!
