    I think they purposefully raise the price of the 6600 so that people will "buy up" to the 7700 thinking they got a great deal . It's a common sales tactic. You can find 6600 for A LOT cheaper than $1500 elsewhere ***BUT ***I think you got a great machine at a good price. Congrats.

    Enjoy your machine. I have just purchased from Ebay a Bernina 1230 in "pristine" condition for $1100. You made me wonder if I should have used that money for a new 7700. I have a Bernina 1120 for the past 30 years and have more than gotten my money's worth from it.
