Default is there a good needle to use when the back is minky?

I am aware that it's really hard to hand sew with minky. Does anyone know of a needle that works better than others? I have a quilt with minky that I need to bind by hand, am I asking for problems?

I don't believe you are asking for problems. I would use a longer needle so I would be sure to catch the base layer of the fabric in the stiitch

a longer than normal, new needle should be just fine- it's not that difficult to sew through- just bulkier.
