Here is a video where Sharon shows her technique using boards. I've never actually used this method because I have plenty of room to sandwich quilts and I find it easy to do by laying down and smoothing the layers.

Oh I feel your pain! My favourite method of sandwiching a quilt is using a wall and basting spray. It is so much easier than being bent over a table or floor. Of course not many of us have a blank wall that we can poke tacks in....but we all should.

Since our move I no longer have a blank wall devoted to quilting. My last three large lap quilts]I've elmered with great results. Sorry couldn't resist using our new word, lol.
