Default Trip Around the World Quilt - Need help

I have a lot of fabric suitable sizewise for a Trip Around the World Quilt. I know how to construct the strips and put the blocks together, but I don't want it in a diamond shape -- I want it in a rectangle. I've looked up quite a few tutorials for the diamond shape, but I'm needing to find a tutorial or free pattern instructions for a rectangle. Can anyone point me in that direction? Thanks in advance.

Oh, wait, I just figured it out in my mind. I don't know how to delete this post though. Sorry!

Sometimes we just have to put it out there to be receptive to what the mind already knows. Try drawing it out on paper that will help when making your strips.

That's okay. I was thinking to just put extra rows on the top and bottom to make it longer. Was that your conclussion too?

Anne, no, I didn't just want to make it longer, I wanted the actual design in the middle to be an rectangle, not a diamond. That means turning the diamond one rotation to the left or right to get a square, but then I wanted not only a square, but rectangle instead. I did figure it out though. Thanks!

Yes, one rotation will give me a square. I was looking for advice on the quick method -- strips, tubes and "unsewing" strategically to make an oblong design instead of a square. I figured it out though. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it. Picture is sideways
