Anyone have one of these? I have an opportunity to buy a gently used one. I'm mostly interested in the quilting features. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't the the Topaz, but have the Viking Sapphire 835 (excellent for quilting). I also own a Viking Scandinavia 200, which I use for everything else. I love both my Vikings. They were well worth the monies.

My sister has the Topaz and really loves it. She does a lot of quilting. I have a Sapphire 870, and I love mine too. You can't go wrong with a Viking ... they are wonderful machines.

I just recentley bought one. I like it so far of course it is not very old and I have not had a lot of time to play with it. I do have a quilt designer 11 and really like it. So I am sure you would like the machine it has a longer throat and I have done some fmg on it and it works good. Good luck

Thanks for the input...I did buy the machine, but discovered when I got home that many of the accessories (no presser feet at all)are missing. I'm getting ready to call the dealer now.
