Cams gram love the sloth quilt!
I finished the cats today. Tomorrow I will sew them together and make the border.

Things didn’t get done like I hoped. It’s cold out and my heater is not working. Close bedrooms and have a kerosene heater on. I did get one PP block done

RaggiesMom - I used the Missouri Star tutorial from a few months ago. https://youtu.be/qBr132A7rLw
Jenny called it a Lemon Star.

I found it to be a nice and easy way to use scraps.

Wow, lots of sewing happening this VQW! Here's what I've been helping with... the cabinets were 80s oak - but in pretty good condition and they are painting up beautifully. The previous floor was 8" tile - this is such a change!

    cjsews; beautiful
    QuiltingVagabond: big project! Looking good.

Skipped goal 3 (it's loaded on LA).
From the current RR on QB. The origional is posted on that thread and the picture will enlarge.
carriem-rr-3rd-roune-resize-2mp.jpg I'm a procrastanator, so as soon as I get one, I try to do my part and pass it on. This one is to move on March 15, I'm way ahead.

The size I got was 27.5" square, divisible by 3 x 3 x 3. Then noticed the center is a basic 9 patch. So it has 3" 9 patches with spacers. The corners are basically 1/2 square triangles, so I repeated it in the corners. My style shows in the light WOCream for a higher value contrast.

Measuring and remeasuring was important. If 1/16" error is repeated 16 times, it's off by 1". I've gotten sloppy on 1/4" seam.

Wow! some busy people here! I did get my Feb. blocks on my 2021 Temp quilt taken care of today--upstairs so will get a photo tomorrow. And working on the ribbon rosettes for KCRegional Quilt Fest--sooo time consuming! And I'v managed to scorch my finger tips and get glue in many places it shouldn't be! But want to get my part on so I can pass along to the next person and get a quilt on the frame. Playing with quilt designs on my Judy Niemeyer Sunflower Illusions tonight.

So many are dealing with this darn winter weather--prayers that all stay safe.

Rob--I had an Appy that would get so mud caked that it would take hours to get it out of his coat--especially in winter! The other place that old boy likes to hang out in this weather is between to large round bales of hay that have a slot about his width--blocks the north wind and he can still stand there and much hay! But so cold today and snowed all day that he actually spend part of the day in the barn.

I started Friday by dropping off 6 charity quilt tops (others will sandwich and bind them). I also picked up a grocery bag full of 6 inch leftover squares. My daughter laid out a couple of quilt tops to sew up. I should be able to get 6 or 7 more assembled with all of the squares. I call them "beauty from ashes" quilts.

Friday, Saturday and this morning, I worked on my lap quilt. I wrote about it in my thread "Trying new things". I just took it out of the dryer. It turned out great!

Today I cut up some flannel for a baby/lap quilt. I came up with the pattern...hopefully my math is correct. Rows are pinned in stacks ready for the machine!

Sadly, my migraines knocked me out of this VQW, I still have one going on right now, it's raging mad about the weather but I had to get out of bed and move, I was getting sore and tender.

I haven't done much sewing this weekend, I had ordered a jelly roll that should have been here Friday under normal circumstances, but is now delayed due to the cold and now the snow we are due to get throughout the week. I was going to start on my niece's Jagged X quilt this weekend. Stupid weather.

At least I've got some felt and a few scraps of fabric, I made my little sister a chicken pincushion and I'll be making mine tomorrow. That's if my brain doesn't explode.
