I just sandwiched a wall quilt with Warm and Natural batting and happened to look at the brown paper insert and it says not to quilt any closer than 10". Do you really have to do that? I was hoping to FMQ all over the darn thing! What do you think?

I think you misread it... they recommend that you not quilt any further apart than 10"
You can quilt as closely as you like :D:D:D

The directions mean you can't quilt farther apart than 10". FMQ to your heart's content!

Try reading the insert again. I think it will say that it may be quilted as far apart as 10 inches. :)

That's why it's such great batting. If I use a 10" block, I can Stitch-in-the-ditch and be done (if I want to). You can put as much quilting on it as you like. Just be aware, Warm and Natural tends to get a little stiff if it is quilted too tightly.

I love Warm and Natural, it just naturally adheres to your backing and you can smooth it and straighten your fabric with very minimal pinning.

Its my favorite batting (filling) as in sandwich.

it says you can quilt up to 10" apart===that is the maximum distance between quilting lines before the batt will separate and ball up when washed=-
you can quilt it as densely as you want as long as you follow the minimum requirements.
some batts say you have to quilt every 2-4"...some 6"---w&n is one of the great ones that pretty much allows any quilting design because the recommendation is so large.

I LOVE Warm and Natural. It is so easy to work with and quilt. Not too heavy and quilts beautifully.
