    Default What to make

I have this print fabric that I've put with the gray and need a pattern idea for a quilt for my SIL. I would lime one that's quick and easy, but looks like I put a lot of work in it. I also have some solid red and solid black, but thought that might make it too "in your face"

I thought the gray would bring out the silvery gray in the fabric.

Would you want to make OBW blocks? using the gray as sashing? That print is beautiful. I look forward to seeing what others suggest.

What, you are not resting up after completing that beautiful Bargello?

I love your fabric. I am trying to think of a pattern that might work for you, but I really am no good at visualizing. I did make a quilt to really focus on one fabric years ago. I will see if I can find a picture, in case it appeals to you.

Okay, found the picture, but now that I look at it, it doesn't look too complicated, and you wanted it more complicated looking, right? Oh well....

What about a disappearing four patch with the print and gray in opposite corners of the original four patch. Easy but very dramatic. You could sash in red or black, very narrow and use red and/or black for borders.

The quilt in this post would look great with your fabric. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t245950.html

Take a look at Jenny Doan's Merry Go Round quilt at Missouri * and see if it would work with your fabrics. It looks hard but is really quite an easy pattern.

I can't see that pic very good. I was considering the carpenters star. What do y'all think? Disappearing 4 patch sounds good, but that's what I'm making for her husband.

Dont have time to rest. BIL is coming sometime this month and I wanted to get them finished. Bargello quilting has to wait a bit longer.
