I'm working on 3 projects right now.
The first is a quilt for my daughter. I got the pattern out of an older Fons and Porter book called "Quick Quilts from the Heart" page 135. I have all of the blocks made and now I just need to trim them up and put the rows together and then quilt the quilt. I have the blocks up on my design board behind my machine quilting frame. laughing..my machine quilting frame is in the livingroom.

I'm also working on a log cabin quilt on my treadle from Eleanor Burns book "Log Cabins". I find it relaxing to treadle on the sewing machine and to work with this block. This quilt is for my husband and myself. (laughing...first quilt I've made for myself.)

The third quilt that I'm working on is the Underground Railroad. (Again from a Eleanor Burn's book.) I took a picture of two of the blocks to show the colors that I'm using. I've got all of the main blocks made and now I'm working on the geese part of the border. My neighbor and I get together every Thursday to work on our URR projects. (We need to meet more often because it is taking us too long to finish this project.)

Thank you for asking... Now I can check out what everyone else is making.

My hate is off to you.
My children were homeschooled from grade 9 (my daughter) and grade 7 (my son) through grade 12. Going through the teens with your children for 24 hours a day 7 days a week is quite a challenge. (I think that is when I started loosing my hair. ) It wasn't that bad, (they did volunteer at a museum and studied music away from home) and I enjoyed it at the time...I would just hate to do it again.

I look forward to seeing your scrappy quilt when you have finished it.

What a great idea for a quilt. You're doing a nice job on the applique. I'm a little leery of applique but I hope to work more with it in the future. I look forward to seeing your quilt when you have finished it.

I love the stars in your log cabin. Your colors are very cheerful.

    Hi All,

I am working on Sweet Tea and it is a nightmare. I suppose that could be because it is my first largeish quilt and there is loads of piecing and applique!

    Hugs
