    I think that is the name, it is mentioned in conjunction with keeping blocks straight, I think. You you tell me what they are and where I can find how to do the technique? Thank you much,

    Cornerstones are the squares used at the intersections of sashing between the blocks. In my pic below, it would be the green squares between the white sashing.
