sidekick bobbin winder, purple thang or quill, good snips,a well organized pincusion, best quality needles i can find, Kimona silk thread [Superior],King Tut thread[Superior], and Aurifil. The June Tailor rulers are very useful but check for acuracy before you buy - they will make it right but who needs the hassle.
BTW a friend traveling thru St.Geo.toured Superior and told us all about it at a sew-in yesterday, She really had a great time and we all have an even greater appreciation for the prewound bobbin assortments [donuts] Thanks again

I discovered a new use for my magnetic pin holder. I dropped a needle while sitting in my recliner sewing a hem. The holder is a magnetic tool holder bowl that I got from Harbor Freight. What I generally do is stand up, shake out my dress and then search the floor for my needle. WELL, that very strong magnet sucked up the needle from where ever it landed and saved me 15 minutes of searching the floor.

Also vital for hand sewing---------------fabric softener sheets!

I like my magnetic extension "picker-upper to reach behind my sewing cabinet & my flat sergical seam ripper.

See through 1/4" foot by little foot, lots of nice marks on it. Scarlet Today hand sewing needles and also the clover seam ripper I wear them out and misplace them I use mine a lot! I also find the add a quarter ruler invaluable when paper piecing.

the Gipsy handle for my acrylic ruler.....a wooden skewer as a stylus.......a brush for cleaning lint out of my bobbin case......a Clover necklace style round cutter (looks like a necklace, but has little cutting blades around the circumference of the "pendant".......the hanging thread catcher and pin cushion that I bought at a craft show......these are some of the things I rely on. I know something else......my swiffer to pick up all the threads/fuzz etc. on the hardwood floor in my sewing room when I'm done!!!!!!! c9P

Of course my cutter & mat, but always my stiletto. I use it all the time. It even helps with ripping.

I just slip the second pair (same strength) on over my normal reading glasses when doing close up work. (family laughs at me, but who cares, I can see what I'm doing!)
