My fav is Crisis Pregnancy Center. They provide quilts to the girls who elect not to have an abortion. I make so many for our local center that they use them for fund-raisers, as well.
People often donate scraps to me so I only have to buy fabric for the backs of the quilts. Might say I am the queen of scrap quilts. Locally they call me the "Quilt Lady".

Soldier's Angels and Project Linus. When I was teaching I did a school wide service project based on the book The Quilter's Gift. Each classroom chose a favorite book, each student made a quilt block based on the book and each classroom produced a quilt based on their book. We donated them to Project Linus with a copy of the book.

I make quilts for Quilts4Kids. These quilts are for babies to teens who are hospitals, experiencing family crisis and CPS interference. There are no must sizes, designs all contibutions are volunteer and there are no quota's to the # of quilts you must contibute a year.

I too am retired and enjoy doing many things with my time and the peramiters this group works with work well with my schedule.

Good Luck finding the group for you...Andie

I am bringing quilts to "Safe Space" also. They have a thrift shop in my town and can drop them off there. God bless all the women and kids who have to reside there for a period of time. Quilting Joan

I make quilts for "Quilts of Valor" which go to wounded veterans. We make all colors and patterns, about 55" x 65". I made 14 last year. This year I have pieced 22 tops!

This is the one that I love to donate to. I have asked for quilts for cancer patients and they send them a quilt free..
