    Basting it is my absolute worst part of quilting. The time it takes putting all the pins in just so that you can remove them again so that you don't break a needle

    I'd say my least favorite is putting the backing on the quilt rack. The sandwiching is okay for me; the tying is lots of fun; the hemming or binding is not my favorite, but it's the final touch so I feel good about it!!

    Sandwiching. That's is my absolute least favorite part of quilting. Maybe because I don't know how to do it right or something.

    Least favorite has to be the sandwiching of the 3 layers. I hate it!

    I finish the piece & hate having to decide about the quilting -- if it's a simple small thing that has guide-lines okay -- bigger projects I hate since I've chosen not to quilt myself.

    I don't like the basting, but I hate the ironing after it's finished before I either send it to the LAQ or baste it myself. When I get my big ironing board it should be easier, but until then it's my least favorite thing.

    I really dislike the prewashing and ironing of the fabric before I can even start the pattern. I feel that it is necessary since I've had a bad experience of not prewashing but I really just want to start sewing.

    Sandwiching is probably my least favourite part...time consuming, but getting it right is pretty much essential. I love binding, it's like the icing on the cake and I really love to put a bit of handwork in each piece, so handstitching on the back side is rather therapeutic! (especially if you have had "one of those days").

    I have little space and working on my own, so I dislike sandwiching. A friend's son used to volunteer to assist me, and it was quick and fun. He has now graduated from University and moved to a new town - so I miss the companionship as well.
