For those of you who dislike the binding, I really think you'll like seeing Sharon Schamber's class on making Piped Binding. You don't have to include the piping portion, but she really had a neat idea for stabilizing the binding/piping before you sew. I used her method on 6 placemats last Sunday, and it worked so slick!

    Go to : http://sharonschambernetwork.com/

Go to Free Classes, then click on Piped Binding.
    Enjoy!!

SO MANY "DON'T LIKES.....I am really surprised with all the replies. It seems we all have parts of this craft we dont like - even hate! And yet, we continue - arent we an amazing bunch?

De-stringing is my greatest dislike...both after I've washed my fabric, and after I finish the quilt top.

I can't stand basting the quilt and keeping the backing taut. I can't wait for my longarm frame.

Sadiemae, I would love to live close to you and do binding for you. That, I have to say is my favorite along with the hand quilting and shopping for fabric. I am like many of you it is the sandwiching that is my least favorite.

My least favorite part of making quilts is the actual quilting. I would rather sew on 100 bindings than quilt one quilt. I have a quick and easy method for bindings that works real fast for me.
