Interested in purchasing a Singer Featherweight and I'm wondering what's a fair price to pay for one and how desirable are they?

    Thank you,
    Michael - The Scissorman

Price varies wildly according to condition and other factors, like how hard they are to find in your area, color of the machine, age, etc. I paid $135 for mine which is in good condition (maybe excellent too but there's some dings in the bed). Some have paid as little as $10 or $25 or even gotten them for free and some have gone up to 3 or 4 hundred bucks.

    So it depends. :p

I paid $285 for mine about a month ago. I wanted a 1954 and got it, but it cost me.

I bought a white one about 6 months ago and paid 350.00 for it. It had been serviced and was ready to sew. I really enjoyed sewing with her.
Sad tho she quit Sat. and has to go to the Dr. for a check up.
Needs either a motor or foot feed. DH wasn't sure which was the problem. I sure miss her but at 54 years old she probably has a few worn parts.

Price does vary greatly. My mom and my sister bought me a Centennial featherweight for Christmas about 10 years ago and they paid $325. So as you can see they are holding value. If you get lucky and find one for $25 that would be great. Good luck in your search.

I've been searching ebay and goodwill.com and they are going for 200+...Saw one in an antique shop for 325.
A few guys I know refurbish them and then sell them for 350.
And they are going like hotcakes...very popular

People are still asking $300 to $400 on my local Craigslist. I would consider anywhere around $200 to be good. Anything less is great.

if i read your location correctly.....then I would suggest checking with The Charlton Sewing Center in Charlton Ma.
I see the featherweights there for sale. Otherwise just have to get lucky to find one.
