No certain time of the year. Just when I see something I want.

i'm kind of cyclic about it. sometimes i'm really in fabric mode, and there isn't enough in the universe to satisfy my need for it. then, i'll go months without even thinking about it. right now, i'm in "mail order only" mode. i went to joanne last week, twice, hoping to find something, and got totally skunked. came home without even a fat quarter. it might be the colorways that i find particularly ugly, right now, as well. so much of them look like the stuff i lived through in the early '60s - '70s that they don't tug at my heart or eyes. i lived through those once, and i refuse to do that again. they were ugly then, they are ugly now, at least to these aging eyes. (i'd rather do the skulls and crossbones that are out there, than the orange and browns, and pink/browns i see. at least the skulls are something new!)
