Smile Where can I order thread and needles??

    Hi there,

I'm not sure, maybe there was a topic with the same question, but I just couldn't find it..

Could anyone tell me, where do you buy all the thread and needles (I have my wonderful Bernina 350) needed for quilting and patchwork?

As I am from Europe, I am interesed in online shops, the names of thread and needles, that I could order. Where are the best prices for these things?

Hope someone will be able to help me Thank youuuuu

Welcome! Superior Threads is a good place to buy both. They also have great education at their site telling what to use with different fabric. A lot of folks like Connecting Threads for thread.

I don't know if these ship overseas but I buy a lot from Connecting Threads, Equilter.com, fabric.com. I like Connecting threads thread, lots of great colors. I usually buy needles from local stores so no help there.

When I bought my Bernina my dealer recommended I always use Schmetz needles. As they are a German company, I am figuring you can get them locally quite easily.
    http://www.schmetz.com/de/

the above website should give you links where you could get them in Europe I would think.

Mettler Threads is also a German company but I couldn't find a website for the headquarters, so again, with a little searching you can probably find a source somewhere in Europe:

If you want to order from the UK, then Barnyarns http://www.barnyarns.co.uk/home.php stock a good selection of several types of thread, including Superior and Schmetz needles.

Superior Threads are great. Fil-tec threads are great----(www.bobbincentral.com). Check out the prices here: www.tristan.ca in Canada. Good prices, and they have good James needles too.
