I am having a terrible time finding an ergonomic rotary cutter that feels comfortable for me. My local shop doesn't let customers try out the cutters before buying. I am leaning towards the Grace company's Comfort Cutter or True Cut with the ruler guides. I did try a Martenelli cutter that my friend swears is the best she's ever tried. Planning a shopping trip this coming weekend a cutter is the #1 item on my list. Any advice on this would help.

I'm guilty. I know it's false economy, but I can't seem to make myself change a blade until it nearly won't cut anymore...I've got to work on that!

I too had a dull blade but read in here somewhere to buy new ones at Harbor Freight. Was at Joanns and looking at new blades. My friend was with me and we both commented on the cost of one new blade! To our surprise a guy (quilter) spoke up and said we could do better at Harbor Freight..DH and I went and after much looking around they were found in the carpet tool section. They are rotary carpet cutting blades, two in a package, for about 3 dollars..They work fine too.!Just saying...a dollar saved is a dollar more to spend on more stash...

I have extras but they are expensive but after thinking about your question, I decided that 1. I don't want to spend the money on blades, 2. I don't want to be bothered with disposing of the blade properly, 3. I'd rather not stop cutting, sewing, etc. to change a blade when I have so many rotary cutters.
