I have read and re-read the instructions and there is nothing mentioned that you can trace the pattern pieces onto Heat n' Bond Lite, but that is what I am going to do. I'm not into 'needle turned' applique. I hope this is ok to do this.

I don't see any reason why you can't, it should applique out the same as other Heat'n'Bond lite applique does. I love H&B! Everything stays put while you stitch.

    That sounds absolutely beautiful!

I think someone on the quilting board did this pattern with wool applique so I imagine you can do it he way you want.

I used heatn' bond but be sure and use the "Lite" The heavier one gums up your needle very bad and sewing is a mess. The lite is a breeze to use and I love it. I mostly do applique and I buy it by the bolt. Good luck. I am on the embroidery work now and will post some pictures when I get that done. It's been fun and it is not hard. I used all batiks and it is beautiful so far. Used black batik for the back ground.

I have had the book for several years. Was going to start it the last time a QAL was done, but they were going too fast. I would be doing needle turn. I think it will take me a couple of years to do it. I don't think I could do more than a couple blocks a month and then the borders are all appliqued as well, then putting it together. I will start with everyone, but sure I will fall behind. I know in the last QAL some enlarged the blocks, that's what I will be doing. Now I've got to get everything together.

Since there are 36 blocks, plus the borders...do you have any idea what kind of pace we'll be looking at? Even 3 blocks a month would take well over a year?
