My local (TransMountain) WalMart still has fabric, although most of the El Paso, Texas, stores either do not have fabric, or it is pre-cut & wrapped. Ours even has some batiks, as well as some really nice prints. The quality is there, too!!!!!

Hopefully they will carry some nice fabric along with the rest. Some of that stuff it really cute, but really poor quality. Need to touch it, look through it, etc. Use Caution... but when you do find a good one - great prices.

They had some wonderful fabrics in there. Alot that had never been there before!

Was there someone available to cut it? That is my challenge. I have waited up to 20 minutes before and finally walked away! This was after asking the automotive dept twice to page someone. I would spend so much more there if they had a person devoted to the dept.

The David Textiles fabric is nice and less than $5/yd. Bought two yards for a practice skirt before cutting intomy $9/yd stuff. They had several bolts in out department and I had a tough time choosing just one! I will cruise through on grocery trips and add a few more pieces to the stash, a little at a time. The pre-cuts are on clearance (some) but can't bring myself to buy such poor quality. Even the sale price is high when you consider how sleazy it feels. Finding someone to cut is a whole thread in itself!

I have been known to use my cell phone and call the front desk and ask for a manager.... I tell them that I have been waiting to have my fabric cut and will beging cutting myself if they can send someone back to scan the fabric for me........ that gets someone there in seconds to cut and scan my fabric for me lol

Ours never stopped, but have noticed an improvement in fabric.

Does WalMart carry the same brands and quality that we get from our online stores and LQSs?

Our WalMart has great fabric too, but it is mainly at a Super WalMart now around here.
