Logcabin -- I am sorry to hear about your dad. Those hallucinations are awful for everyone. Love on both of them as much as you can! You are a blessing to both of them. I am sending you a warm hug and lots of prayers of comfort for your whole family.

I was just reading another thread posting by a former Birthday Swapper and she mentioned the Traffic Jam pattern by Pat Sloan. A good one to use 2.5's. I know I made one but can't recall when or who it was given to, possibly Project Linus. Traffic Jam by Pat Sloan

Good Morning, I dropped my candies off at the post office. I have also been busy working on my boom blocks, only 2 left. Then I need to make one more block to go with my blocks from the last boom. All the blocks are on the design wall. Need to sew the top together before we leave Texas and head home to Minnesota

Needed some mindless sewing yesterday morning. So I now have 30--16 patch blocks made from all sorts of random scraps. Some scrap fabric I was given, and honestly if the fabric wasn't cut to 2.5 inches I would never have used it.....I think Karen Brown said something about if you think a fabric is ugly, keep cutting it smaller. Trying to decide what to do with them. I know I can come up with more "candy's" to make 36 or more blocks if I need to, but trying to figure out what I could do with these 30.

Good for you Heathermom2opmc for using those "uglies". Sashing your big blocks with black or a stunning solid of some sort, may turn them into a beauties. I think your quote might be from Bonnie Hunter. One of my quilting group is always saying it and quoting it as from BH. None the less, it sure does apply, doesn't it! We all have some "zingers" we would never pick out ourselves but find in our possession. When you bury them in your blocks, no one will every see them. Keep in mind that what appeals to one is.... bluuck to another. Stitch on! Pictures?
